I have run three marathons in my life. The first one in San Diego in 2007. It was an eye opener and wiped me out...I didn't run for months after that. Then after nearly reaching 200 pounds I decided to start running again. I trained hard for the Salt Lake Marathon and was ready to beat my brother Mike's time, but at about mile 22 my body failed. I bonked and barely had the energy to finish walking the last 4 miles. Luckily Mike was there to keep me company.
Four weeks later I ran the Ogden Marathon. I didn't tell anyone that I was going to run it, except my wife. I was able to beat Mike's time.

What win I?

'What win I, if I gain the thing I seek?
A dream, a breath, a froth of fleeting joy-
Who buys a minute's mirth to wail a week?
Or sells eternity to get a toy?
For one sweet grape who will the vine destroy?
Or what fond beggar, but to touch the crown,
Would with the scepter straight be strucken down'
